Live!iXem rappresenta un appuntamento ormai consolidato che esplora il rapporto tra suono, musica, arti elettroniche e nuove tecnologie. Ixem รจ un progetto ideato e prodotto sin dal 2003 da AntiTesi, organizzazione fondata e diretta da Domenico Sciajno con sede a Palermo.
Centro di autodocumentazione, ricerca e sviluppo interdisciplinare per l'Arte Nuova, AntiTesi si occupa dell'arte contemporanea nelle sue diverse forme, coordina and organizes cultural events, festivals and exhibitions in music and art.
Festival Live! IXem to October 2010 is a project of antithesis (Domenico Sciajno) and Project USE (Matthew Milani_Federico Placidi) in collaboration with O 'and Die Schachtel and is divided into two events, a' preview 'to the Turin 8th October made Hiroshima Mon Amour, and the real festival with workshops, plays, installations and live performances organized in conjunction with O 'and Die Schachtel in Milan.
The field is transverse. After the introductory event in Turin, October 8 - with the Live! IXem Preview - the appointment of Milan festival will take place in the Isola area, between the spaces of O ', Medion and VisualContainer on Friday 29 and Saturday, October 30, from morning until late at night and with a busy schedule of events.
Among these, the workshop 'Movement of acoustic images' which focuses on the field recording, its transformations, its reproduction acousmatic space and will consist of three different phases: the first by an approach technical basis, the second best by listening to environmental sound sources chosen as points of a hypothetical map sound ideal, the third one on the recording physical 'on-site' of sound events. Live! IXem, is also characterized by a kind of partnership with 'Ear to the Earth 2010 - Water and the World', produced by Electronic Music Festival Foundation / Joel Chadabe, which will take place simultaneously in NYC.
