People Are What They Buy? Back

If this is still true markettara old phrase I do not know. Maybe.

Especially judging by what I saw during my last trip in the Baltic Republics. For here Westernization - ie shopping malls, fashion, super cool machines, mc donald's - is so explosive that the ostentatious wealth of young people in Tallinn and Riga for me is partly explained by this: they are so excited about the freedom and welfare that conquered the damage to see everything they do, in all what they wear, in everything they buy.

visit the Occupation Museum in Riga Russian - and the Nazis - I have done fairly accurate idea of \u200b\u200bthe incredible brutality to which they are subjected to these countries until very recently. And I could not help but wonder what they are thinking now that Russia has raised its sights on Georgia and everything else. I think that having available Putin's butt, it would take a couple of kicks with Nike or Prada.

In Estonia and Latvia have seen much more than the mere "consumption" of goods. I saw a "consumption" of happiness, cheerfulness and exaggeration. Things that pissed in a country like Italy can not be seen for some time.

Mi chiedo quanto bello sarebbe fare il copy e ragionare di marketing e consumo in un paese felice.

P.s.: per chi vuole vedere qualche foto scattata a Riga e Tallinn andate su Flickr .
