Black Habit 'is a sound installation, curated by Domenico Sciajno and produced by Antithesis, which is a collaboration between the Australian sound artist Philip Samartzis and German Michael Vorfeld. It consists of a series difield recording (field recordings) that follow the "path of electricity", when you pull a piece of coal from the ground up to the moment when you turn on a light bulb. Sounds certainly not easy to record and who have committed about Samartzis three years. The two artists have used these recordings to compose the sound environment that is broadcast in quadraphonic in the exhibition space, whose walls are visible from the photos taken of prints depicting Vorfeld magnification of light bulbs.

After two years of staging an event Quadrophenia back to Palermo, a section dedicated to the spread of quadraphonic electronic works in the series XS [not.only.sonic.acts] edited by antithesis.

The occasion is given by Stockhausen Project, an event created by the Sicilian Association of Friends of Music.

The meeting includes four audio channels on the diffusion of works of electronic music by Domenico Sciajno choices that will cure even the spatialization of sound through an interactive computer system designed by himself.

The musical allusion and ironically is summarized in the subtitle of the record labels by name reference of the artists involved and the duration of 60 minutes.

Le opere non verranno proposte in una sequenza predeterminata nè in versione integrale, saranno bensì diffuse nello spazio sonoro su diversi piani di ascolto in un ordine stabilito sul momento sfruttando il sistema di distribuzione audio multicanale controllato dal vivo ed in tempo reale da Sciajno. Il questo modo in un metaforico contrappunto di richiami e di rimandi opere elettroniche pionieristiche ed attuali sperimentazioni sonore si alterneranno (talvolta sovrapponendosi) evidenziando le grandi innovazioni e le intuizioni di Stockhausen nonchè l'influenza and the continuity of its operations at the vast panorama of electronic music.
