Live! iXem 2008 is detached from the competition that becomes autonomous and connected to the ECAS and focuses on the performative, in the form of festivals of music and experimental electronic arts and is in its fifth edition without renouncing to their vocation of creative edge of advanced research.
Act Festival, by type and method, mostly on national territory, all those Italian artists who engage in the use of new technologies applied to the arts, with particular attention to the relationship between sound and images.

A confirmation of the important work of the project iXem antithesis of the country, the Live! IXem continues his "journey" through observation, promotion and dissemination of musical and artistic works and experimental legate all’universo tecnologico e alla ricerca nel campo dell’elettronica.
Assumendo di anno in anno forme e strutture sempre nuove, il Live!iXem si evolve e si rinnova reinterpretandosi anche come moltiplicatore di relazioni sociali e di scambi culturali ed artistici internazionali.
Live!iXem si concentra quest'anno sulla sua formula festival allestendo la parte performativa attraverso un programma articolato.
Si parte Martedì 18 Novembre alle 21.30 al Goethe Institut (via Paolo Gili, 4- ingresso € 5) con il trio australiano composto da Antony Pateras (pianoforte preparato), Sean Baxter (percussioni) e David Brown (chitarra elettrica preparata). Esplorazioni di forme estreme e tecniche estese su strumenti acustici conventional in the context of improvisation. Wednesday 19 at 21.30
Live! IXem is on at Malaussene (Piazzetta Resuttano, 4 - free admission) where the collective AMP2 Palermo opened the evening to deal with guests 'secrets'.
Thursday, November 20 from 19.30 to 24 to the left (Via degli Schioppettieri, 8 - free admission) audiovisual projections accompanied by a long happy drink.
And for a weekend out of the stylistic codes and catalog generation and conventional, ASK 191 (free admission until 21.30, then € 3) from 21.30 onwards becomes the ground Live! IXem with separate sections for Live sets up the 24 and DJ sets from midnight onwards. A window on the young stage of experimental / electro and Sicily with a focus on interdisciplinary collective AMP2.
AMP2 is a permanent laboratory, a hub, a concentrator which brings together the creative minds of Palermo and non-resident artists passing through. So Friday, November 21
SonoRoom Live sets Pianges with Marco, Dario Sanfilippo, Samuele Calabrò Gandolfo and Pagano. Followed by DJ sets with the participation of, among others Ajno [minimal techno \u0026lt;+/-> Gamma Tool (dj) and Gianluca Scuderi, Ajno.

Live! IXem fifth edition, designed by contrast, is established as an autonomous and independent production that is realized through the sharing of approaches, purpose and passions of all those who have worked on this issue personally putting into play to compensate for the inability and the indifference of those institutional structures that should be responsible for the development of the national artistic and cultural fabric.

Live!iXem 2008 changes its shape and, detaching from the contest, becomes indipendent and strictly connected to the net ECAS. It focuses on the performative part as festival of music, mixed media and experimental electronic art and arrives to its fifth edition without forgetting its creative vocation of the most advanced research.
According to its method of selection, Live!iXem is the only one festival on the national territory dedicated to those artists who manage “experimentation” on performative arts (music, video, dance, theater) and digital and electronic audiovisual instruments, live merging them in real time with a particular attention to the relation between sound and images.
To confirm the important job done by ANTITESI with the project iXem, the Live!iXem festival continues its journey through the observation, promotion and diffusion of experimental artistic and music activities linked to the thecnological universe and to the research in the field of electronics.
changig year by year through different shapes and structures, Live!iXem is also a platform of social relationship muliplication and of international atistic and cultural exchanges.
The programm is quite enough articulated and moves on a local circuit of different indipendent venues to strenghten the ideal of cultural and social collaborations. This year, among the events, Live!iXem wants to open a window on the young artists of the sicilian experimental electro-acoustic and interdisciplinary scene giving particular attention to the collective AMP2.
AMP2 is permanent lab, a hub where creative people of Palermo and passing foreign artists meet and work together .
 Live!iXem festival is a project curated by ANTITESI and its fifth edition is an indipendent and self-managed production that is possible thanks to the mutual idea of approaches, aims and passions of all those who have been hard working on it underlining in this way the lack and absence of those institutional structures that should work on the development of national artistic and cultural world.
